According to reports from the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) and Japanese Television, around 5:55 PM local time on the 2nd, a plane belonging to Japan Airlines caught fire while landing at Tokyo Haneda Airport. 🔥

As per NHK, the aircraft is identified as Japan Airlines Flight 516 (Airbus A350), which took off from New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido at 4:00 PM on the same day and collided with a plane from the Japan Coast Guard during landing. 💥

The scene is thick with smoke, as captured by Haneda Airport’s cameras. Emergency firefighting efforts are underway, and it appears that some passengers have successfully evacuated the aircraft. 🚒👫

Japan Airlines reports a total of 379 people on board, including 367 passengers and 12 crew members. Fortunately, all occupants have successfully evacuated, with the aircraft exploding just 10 minutes after evacuation. 💨💥

The Coast Guard identifies the colliding plane as MA722, engaged in delivering relief supplies to the Ishikawa earthquake-stricken area. Of the 6 people on board, 5 unfortunately lost their lives, while the captain sustained severe injuries. 😢💔
